SberHealth, a healthcare platform inside the Sber ecosystem, has rolled out house calls letting users receive doctors from Moscow hospitals. Moscow residents can enjoy medical consultations with general practitioners or pediatricians, as well as place an order for a COVID-19 test on sberhealth.ru.
To arrange a house call* via SberHealth, patients need to fill out a small form on the website, specifying their full name, address, phone number, and the time when they'd like a doctor to come. Within minutes, they'll receive a phone call from an operator to confirm the house call, share the initial details about the patients' complaints, symptoms, and general health status.
A medical doctor is scheduled to visit you within two to five hours after you fill out the form, or at some other time you specify. Seeing you in person, the doctor will examine you, establish the diagnosis, and write out a prescription.
"The pandemic has spurred the evolution of distance services in Russia, and we're now launching one more vital offering that'll reduce the risks of catching COVID-19. I'm speaking of home calls. They remove the need to visit gathering places while having many Moscow clinics as partners allows us to arrange for a home visit by a doctor fast," Anatoly Zinger, CEO, SberHealth informed.
So far, the new service is available in Moscow only. SberHealth partner clinics in the capital are Medsi, Semeynaya, ABC Medicina, Prima Medica, and Preambula. A GP/pediatrician house call is priced at RUB2,000 with any of the clinics.
The service is set to be scaled up shortly. SberHealth is scheduled to launch the House Call service in several parts of Russia, increase the list of specialists performing house calls and the number of partner clinics in Moscow, which should cut the waiting time to two hours at the most after applying for a house call.
*A house call applies to elective therapy. In case of a condition requiring immediate attention or one involving a medical emergency, you need to call an ambulance by calling 103 or 112.
