In the Tenkinsky district of the Magadan region, the work of a gold extraction factory at the Teutejak gold deposit has been launched. The launch of the enterprise was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev, Governor of the Magadan Region Sergey Nosov and founder of the Arbat concern Alexander Basansky.
"Good impressions. The project was launched. The new enterprise was built in the difficult territories of the Magadan region. Thanks to the project, the production volumes of the enterprises of the Arbat concern will double. 300 highly paid jobs have been created. This is the development of our Far East, our country. Today we are present at another step of this development," said Yuri Trutnev.
The project implemented by the Teutejak Mine company (part of the structural division of the Arbat Concern) provides for the construction of a quarry for open-pit mining and the construction of a gold recovery factory. The volume of processing of the enterprise will be 1 million tons of ore per year.
The project will help the socio-economic development of the Magadan region. 8 Gold mining enterprises form the basis of the region's economy. The filling capacity of the regional budget and the fulfillment of social obligations by the region largely depends on such companies. "These are taxes to the regional budget from the extraction of gold and minerals. This is personal income tax from the new high-paying jobs that are being created here. Employees will be attracted to the enterprise from the Tenkinsky district and, possibly, Khasynsky. We will determine this together with the management of the concern," said Sergey Nosov.
The factory uses the latest technology: the Uralmashzavod mill and a number of other units of domestic equipment with a high production rate are working.
"First of all, I am proud that we have made our worthy contribution to the development of the economy and infrastructure of the Far East. A modern high–performance production has been created here, where up to 3 tons of gold will be mined per year, 1 million tons of ore will be processed," Alexander Basansky said.
This year, the company intends to extract about one and a half tons of gold, and will reach its design capacity next year. After the factory reaches its design capacity, the annual output of precious metals will be: gold up to 3 tons and the same amount of silver.
In addition to the factory, a mining and metallurgical production will be built at the field. Thus, in the future, a full cycle will appear here – geological exploration, mining, processing to obtain an alloy.
Now the production volumes of all enterprises of the Arbat concern amount to about 3 tons of gold per year. With the launch of the Teutejak mine, the concern will reach volumes of 5.5–6 tons of precious metal annually.
Recall that the Magadan region is called the golden heart of Russia for a reason. The region ranks first in Russia in the production of placer gold and the second position in the production of ore gold. Last year, the enterprises of the Magadan region produced 51.43 tons of gold. In 2023, it is planned to extract up to 54 tons of gold at Kolyma.
