Volunteers from Rosneft enterprises in the Samara region took part in a series of environmental actions dedicated to the global initiative "We Clean the World."

The events were supported by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Samara and Saratov Regions, the Green Russia public movement, and activists of the Movement of the First.

Samara region volunteers cleared one hectare of the coastal territory of Rozhdestvensky Island on the Volga and collected about 2 tons of natural and household garbage, which was sorted and sent for recycling.

Rozhdestvensky Island, a picturesque place opposite Samara in the Samarskaya Luka National Park, is called the green heart of the Volga. It is a unique natural complex with wildlife, natural sandy beaches, inland forest lakes, flood meadows and deciduous trees. Samarskaya Luka National Park is a long-standing partner of the Samara group of Rosneft enterprises. The cooperation has been going on for more than 10 years. The purpose of this partnership is to combine the development of ecotourism with the preservation of the unique nature of the park, as well as to enhance the ecological culture of both visitors and locals.

Employees of an oil refinery in Saratov organized a diving race in the Kirov city Park. As part of the eco-sabotnik, which combined sports competitions with garbage collection, more than 50 participants collected more than 1 ton of garbage in just 40 minutes. Over the past few years, running plogging races has become a good tradition of the company. An interactive eco-station "Made of oil" was also organized for the participants of the race, where for a limited time it was necessary to determine which of the proposed items contain refined products.

Environmental initiatives are an important component of Rosneft's social policy and corporate culture. Every year, the Company's subsidiaries take an active part in landscaping and landscaping activities, cleaning up reservoirs and coastlines, and contribute to preserving natural heritage and improving the quality of life in the regions where they operate.

On an ongoing basis, Rosneft enterprises are working to replenish aquatic biological resources to preserve biological diversity and increase the population of fish fauna in the Volga basin.
