RT-Invest Company (part of Rostec State Corporation) became a participant of the international forum "Bioprom" and presented the project of the first waste energy recycling plant in Russia. The Forum takes place from October 7-8 in Gelendzhik with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the forum is to popularize domestic technologies for humans: pharmaceuticals, food industry, medical devices and ecology.
Representatives of the RT-Invest company take part in the thematic track "Ecobio", which raises such important topics as: biorycycling and waste disposal. In the exhibition part of the forum, RT-Invest presented a mock-up of an energy waste disposal plant.
RT-Invest is building four waste energy recycling plants in the Moscow Region with a total capacity of 2.8 million tons of waste per year and another plant in the Republic of Tatarstan with a capacity of 550 thousand tons of waste per year. Waste for energy utilization will be received after mandatory sorting and selection of secondary material resources. The launch of the first waste energy recycling plant in the Voskresensk district of the Moscow region is scheduled before the end of 2024. At the moment, commissioning works are being carried out at the facility.
According to the project, the level of localization of production should have been at least 55%. By combining the efforts of the largest Russian manufacturers, it was possible to increase it to 70%. The success of the project is ensured by the partners – Rostec State Corporation, Rosatom State Corporation and the Ural Turbine Plant. The RT-Invest energy recycling plants will use the technology of thermal waste processing on a grate at a temperature of 1260 °.
Advantages of the technology:
- There are over 2,500 grate installations with a capacity of 350 million tons of waste per year in the world;
- State-of-the-art technology: the latest gas purification systems can achieve emissions levels 90% below international environmental standards;
- environmental safety: investigated and confirmed by numerous examinations.
Projects of RT-Invest waste energy recycling plants have successfully passed 11 Russian and 2 independent international examinations. All the conclusions confirmed the environmental safety of the facilities.
The launch of 5 plants will allow:
- reduce CO2 emissions by 3.8 million tons per year by eliminating landfill disposal. For comparison, in order to absorb and neutralize 3.8 million tons of CO2, it is necessary to plant 1.33 million hectares of mixed forest;
- to preserve more than 13,700 hectares of fertile agricultural land, which will allow harvesting grain crops of about 50 thousand tons per year;
- completely eliminate pollution of water sources and soil around waste management facilities;
- the use of a closed circuit for the circulation of industrial water — the discharge of industrial effluents into the sewer system is not carried out;
- produce more than 2,200,000 MWh of "green" energy is enough to provide electricity to over 1 million people;
- to improve the quality and living conditions of more than 17 million residents of the Moscow region and more than 1 million people in Kazan by stopping waste disposal at landfills.
