ATI Inc. has completed the sale of two manufacturers of precision rolled products in New Bedford (Massachusetts) and Remscheid (Germany) to Ulbrich Stainless Steels and Special Metals, Inc. This is reported in a press release from ATI.
The deal is in line with ATI's plans to concentrate efforts in the production of titanium, nickel and alloy products for the aerospace and defense industries.
Precision rolled products manufacturers specialize in the production of thin calibers and small rolls, which make up the precision rolled products business in accordance with the Ulbrich strategy.
ATI is a manufacturer of high—performance materials, complex components and solutions for the aerospace and defense markets, as well as for critical applications in electronics, medicine and special energy. The company includes two segments — High Performance Materials & Components (HPMC) and Advanced Alloys & Solutions (AA&S). The headquarters is located in Dallas (Texas).
Ulbrich Stainless Steels is an American multinational company producing stainless steel and special metals. The headquarters is located in North Haven, Connecticut with 13 branches in different countries.
