JSC Arkhbum will complete the Istra-2 investment project in December 2020, the company informed following the visit of Tatyana Vitusheva, head of the Istra urban district, to the Arkhbum production site.

According to Sergey Zapasny, head of the Istra site, the commissioning of the second production site was delayed by measures aimed at curbing the spread of COVIS-19: the Istra-2 building has been completed, with landscaping and territory improvement works underway, but the COVID-19 factor prevents the arrival of foreign specialists for installation of the second corrugated packaging unit.

The company will invest about RUB 3 billion in modernization before the end of 2021. As previously reported, the asset will increase productivity to 400 million m2 per year after Istra-2 is commissioned.

JSC Arkhbum is a subsidiary of JSC Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill wholly owned by Pulp Mill Holding. The company focuses on the manufacture of corrugated packaging.
