Customer funds in banks decreased by 0.2% in September 2026 after a 0.8% increase in August. This is reported in the materials of the Bank of Russia.
Household funds decreased by 0.1% after decreasing by 0.2% in August. Funds of legal entities decreased by 0.4% after a 1.9% increase a month earlier, when funds were actively growing, mainly from oil and gas and energy companies. The main decrease in September was in current accounts (-1.7%).
Funds in escrow accounts increased by 3.1% in September after a 1.3% increase in August. The regulator explains this by increased activity in the mortgage segment and a slowdown in housing commissioning.
