OTP Group does not intend to curtail its operations in the Russian market. Peter Chanyi, CEO of the Hungarian OTP Group, said this in an interview with Forbes, according to a press release from OTP Bank.

He noted that the group is trying to stay in the Russian market as long as it is economically rational. P. Chanyi added that the group does not want to curtail its work and transfer the bank to someone at a discount. "We don't like to leave any country," he said.

P. Chanyi also stressed that more than 80% of the deposit base of the Russian bank are funds from European and American companies that continue to operate in Russia.

OTP Bank is a universal Russian bank, founded in 1994, part of the OTP Group International Financial Group.
