The Russian government has extended the ban on the export of waste and scrap of precious metals for 6 months, until the end of November 2026. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
In addition, it is prohibited to export waste and scrap metals clad with precious metals. The export of waste and scrap of electrical and electronic products, used mainly for the extraction of precious metals, which are important for the domestic market of the country, has been suspended.
The ban will not apply to the export of cathode antimony in ingots, as well as samples taken from shipments of scrap and waste of precious metals exported by refining organizations. At the same time, the mass of one sample should not exceed 500 g in one commodity lot, regardless of the number of such lots under a foreign trade contract.
