Soon, one of Russia's largest Arctic projects, Vostok Oil, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, will launch a trunk oil pipeline to the new North Bay terminal, and the first oil will be shipped. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum, according to a transcript posted on the Kremlin's website.
According to the head of state, it is planned to integrate the Arctic sea terminals with railways and inland waterways so that cargo flows from Central Russia, the Urals, and Siberia can be connected there, and imported goods can be supplied.
In August, the first container ship from China to Murmansk passed through the Russian Arctic. "And we and other partners plan to continue this work in the very near future," Putin stressed.
