The test operation of the KAMAZ electric bus with night charging has been completed in St. Petersburg.

The KAMAZ-6282 ONC electric bus was placed at the disposal of the St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise "Passagiravtotrans" at the end of February. During the month, the carrier tested the novelty on urban routes. During this time, the electric bus traveled a total of 2.5 thousand km and transported over 10.6 thousand people. The consumption calculated by St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise "Passagiravtotrans" was 2.18 kW/km. The innovative technology received positive feedback from the operating organization. According to the results of operation, the carrier highly appreciated the interior and exterior of the electric bus, comfort, ergonomics of the driver's workplace and visibility, driving properties (handling, acceleration and braking dynamics). In addition, the reliability of the equipment was noted: during the entire period of the test run-in, the electric bus was never removed from the route.

Recall that the KAMAZ-6282 ONC was designed to meet the needs of St. Petersburg, taking into account the demand for electric buses with night charging in the Northern capital. The model was first presented to a wide audience at the international commercial transport exhibition Comtrans 2023, within the framework of which an agreement was reached with the management of the St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise "Passagiravtotrans" to conduct test operation. Passagiravtotrans became the first customer to test this model of innovative technology. Andrey Lyzin, the General Director of the organization, noted that the KAMAZ-6282 ONC is a domestic electric bus that meets the stated characteristics and provides a range of 250 km on a single charge.

The KAMAZ-6282 ONC electric bus with night charging has retained all the advantages of the "classic" KAMAZ-6282 model, but it charges after hours. This type of electric buses has an increased capacity of traction batteries, which implies a large amount of mileage on a single charge. Energy storage – lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) rechargeable batteries with an energy capacity of 499 kWh. The electric motor is synchronous with permanent magnets as part of an electric bridge, power is 2x180 kW. The passenger capacity is up to 85 people, seating capacity is 35. The electric bus fully complies with the Affordable Environment program.
