At the Insurance Market Leaders Forum, Evgeny Ilyin, a member of the Management Board of Rosgosstrakh IC, presented the company's approach to assessing the effect of the introduction of artificial intelligence. He noted that the market is actively testing neural network and generative models, but there are few projects in insurance that are already yielding significant direct financial results. The most noticeable effect, according to him, is the use of AI where it removes restrictions in IT production and speeds up processes that previously took several working days.
Rosgosstrakh uses code assistants for web development and test generation. Proprietary agent-based code review solutions help you move faster from a code change request to commissioning: the average time for a code review request in a company has been reduced from four hours to 30 minutes. Internal CSG test measurements also show a 30% increase in efficiency when using AI in development and testing.
AI is also used to automate IT compliance based on n8n. Now one compliance champion can monitor more than 1,500 features quarterly, and the workload on IT teams and their backlog is reduced.
An AI platform has been created for the company's employees AI.RGS.ru — an internal service with access to large language models and corporate knowledge base search. Every fifth employee already uses the system regularly. On average, the neural network processes 1-2 thousand requests per week related to working with text, programming, sales and marketing.
"The most noticeable economic effect for the company is the use of language models in IT development: replacing some of the coding, speeding up testing and expanding the so-called bottlenecks. Here you can get the greatest savings, because what was done yesterday for several working days is done today in just a few hours," explained Evgeny Ilyin.
According to the speaker, the company's further task is to integrate AI tools into familiar employee interfaces and existing workflows. This approach allows you to scale the effect without increasing the complexity for users and at the same time save data inside a secure information security loop.
