Russian Railways Holding continues to develop railway tourism in Russia. Together with the regional administrations and tourist operators, the schedule of tourist trains for the whole of 2027 and the first quarter of 2028 has been worked out and approved. It includes both routes that tourists have already loved, as well as new ones.
So, in the new schedule, the number of tourist trains will increase to 131, which is 11 more trains than in the current one, 87 of them are long–distance. Each train provides a rich excursion program with visits to key attractions in the regions of Russia.
The route network will become wider – travel by tourist trains will already cover 54 regions of the Russian Federation (in the current schedule, the route network covers 52 regions). Two regions and a number of cities to which Russian Railways trains had not previously arrived will join: the Udmurt Republic (Izhevsk) and the Tver Region (Rzhev, Torzhok, Kalyazin), Shuya, Shchekino and Uglich.
The new routes are focused on the development of event, cultural, educational and patriotic tourism. They will be interesting both for lovers of city tours, history and museums, and for those who contemplate natural beauty. Some trains are assigned to certain events or dates.
