The BRICS Faculty will open in Synergy University. This was announced by the rector of the university Artem Vasiliev at the VI International Municipal Forum of the BRICS countries.

Synergy University co-organized a session on the role of educational diplomacy in the development of cooperation between the BRICS countries. The experts discussed the importance of international cooperation in the organization of all levels of education, including secondary, higher and additional.

"This year, Synergy University, together with the Association of Private Educational Organizations of the BRICS countries, is launching the BRICS faculty. In each country of this association, we have chosen a university that is included in the international rating, and we plan to organize a network training program in which students will study one large educational module in each of the countries. We are currently negotiating with universities and synchronizing programs so that graduates can receive nine diplomas at once: Russian state-issued diplomas, Brazil, China, India, South Africa, etc. Recruitment to the faculty starts this year, and the new academic year for students will begin in 2025," said Artem Vasiliev.

He stressed that Synergy University ranks first in terms of the number of foreign students among all universities in the country.

"We see tremendous interest in Russian education abroad. This year we are opening an international educational agency that will recruit international students for various Russian universities. We are already cooperating with some of them, recruiting students from India, Bangladesh, China, Pakistan, the Persian Gulf countries, Latin America, and Africa. We are confident that by 2035 we will be able to reach the figure of one million foreign students studying in our country," said Artem Vasiliev.

Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, noted that systematic systematic work is underway in the country to fulfill the presidential task of increasing the number of foreign students to 500 thousand by 2030. According to her, now in In Russia, more than 25% (about 90 thousand) of international students are citizens of the BRICS countries. Network programs with partner universities will increase this number.

"Following the meeting of the Ministers of Education of the BRICS countries in In Kazan, it was decided to expand the formats of interaction between partners. Thus, it is planned to organize a pilot international Olympiad, which will provide an opportunity for segmented selection of applicants to study at Russian universities. We are also developing an alternative university rating system, holding a forum for young scientists, and a competition for young innovators," Olga Petrova added.
