The government has decided to extend quotas for the export of mineral fertilizers from Russia. They will be valid from June 1 to November 30, 2023. The resolution on this has been signed. The decision taken is aimed at maintaining sufficient volumes of fertilizers in the domestic market.
The total volume of the export quota will be more than 16.3 million tons. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has been instructed to distribute volumes among exporters.
Quotas will not apply to the supply of fertilizers to Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
The Government took similar measures in December 2022 – then non-tariff restrictions were established, effective from January 1 to May 31, 2023. At the moment, their volume is 12.6 million tons. However, due to the full provision of fertilizers for the domestic market by another decree, the current quotas for the export of urea, ammonium nitrate, complex NPK fertilizers and monoammonium phosphate have been increased by almost 2 million tons.
This measure will allow producers of mineral fertilizers to export unclaimed remnants of finished products.
Signed document No. 821 amended Government Resolution No. 2353 of December 20, 2022.
