The exhibition "The woman behind the scenes. A postscript to the 100th anniversary of film director Tatiana Lioznova", organized by the Jewish Museum and the Center for Tolerance in cooperation with VTB, will open on March 13.
The exhibition presents a retrospective look at the history of Russian cinema through the prism of the work of women directors, including Tatiana Lioznova, Olga Preobrazhenskaya, Margarita Barskaya, Nadezhda Kosheverova, Kira Muratova and representatives of the new cinematic generation.

Visitors will be able to see film sketches, photos from filming, photo auditions, posters, documents, including scripts by prominent female directors. The exhibition is divided into several parts, one of which is dedicated to Tatiana Lioznova, a legendary figure of Soviet cinema.

"VTB supports projects that help preserve and rethink cultural heritage. Tatiana Lioznova has created a series of magnificent feature films that have become classics of cinema and still form the cultural code. One of her masterpieces is "17 moments of Spring", which deeply and accurately conveys the philosophy of time, shades of human feelings and forms the basic values of a generation. The exhibition will introduce visitors not only to the creative work of the director. She will also touch on the work of other outstanding women of the Soviet era, who became the first in the male world of directing and won the love of the audience," says Natalia Kochneva, Senior Vice President of VTB.

VTB has been cooperating with the Jewish Museum and the Center for Tolerance since 2014, supporting various museum projects. As part of the partnership, the bank became a co-organizer of exhibitions: "The Process. Franz Kafka and the art of the XX century", "Julia", "The Jewish avant-garde. He was walking. Altman.
