The Kursk region increased agricultural production by 6% in 2023, which exceeds the national average. In the field of food and processing industry, the production of vegetable oil, sausages, cereals and other products has increased, and growth continues. This was announced by the Ministry of Agriculture.
The volume of exports in 2023 amounted to $838 million at current prices. At the end of June, shipments increased by 16% compared to the same period in 2022.
2.4 billion rubles have been allocated for the development of the agro-industrial complex of the region this year, 63% of which have already been brought to the final recipients. Currently, grain harvesting has begun in the region, the yield is about 55 kg / ha.
In addition, there is a positive trend in animal husbandry. Meat and dairy industries are showing growth. At the same time, the subject must increase the pace of accounting for agricultural animals in the Horriot system. By September 1, 100% of cattle and pigs, as well as poultry in the industrial sector, should be accounted for.
