AK&M 14 November 2025 21:09 The German trade union Ver.di called for an immediate strike on March 9 at Hamburg Airport, with a further extension until March 10. This is reported by foreign media.

In particular, they called for the continuation of the action in several areas of the airport, including aircraft maintenance areas and passenger safety checks.

At the end of February, at the call of the trade union, preventive strikes took place at the airports of Munich, Dusseldorf and Cologne, including baggage transportation, check-in and aircraft loading and unloading services.

The next stage of negotiations between the union and employers is scheduled for March 14-16 in Potsdam.

The union decided to increase pressure on employers and hold preventive strikes and protests across the country, demanding higher wages and better working conditions for security personnel.

Vereinte Dienstleistungsgewerkschaft (Ver.di) is a united trade union of service sector workers with headquarters in Berlin (Germany). The union was founded in 2001 as part of the merger of five separate trade unions.
