Astronauts from the ISS help to assess the development of dangerous phenomena on Earth

The flight of the Russian participants of the 71st long-term expedition, Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko, Nikolai Chub and Alexander Grebenkin, continues on the International Space Station.

On May 23, according to the flight program of the Russian segment of the station,:

  • Splankh-2 experiment (obtaining data reflecting the specifics of changes in various parts of the gastrointestinal tract that occur in space flight);
  • the Hurricane experiment (development of technical means and methods for controlling the development of catastrophic natural and man-made phenomena on Earth or their precursors);
  • The Scenario experiment (development of methods for assessing the development of catastrophic and potentially dangerous phenomena);
  • the Interaction-2 experiment (study of the patterns of behavior of the crew in a long-term space flight);
  • the Ekon-M experiment (photographing the Earth to assess the environmental situation);
  • the Separation experiment (testing and testing in microgravity of a water regeneration system from urine);
  • preparation for the undocking of the Progress MS-25 cargo ship from the ISS, scheduled for May 28 — purging and vacuuming of the ship's fuel and oxidizer refueling devices;
  • preparation for the docking of the Progress MS-27 cargo ship with the ISS, scheduled for June 1 — a test of the transmission of television information;
  • treatment of structural elements and housing of the Zvezda service module with a Fungistat disinfectant to protect against the appearance of mold and microbes.
