The RPA-328 software robot, which automates the sending of notifications on the approval of technical characteristics of purchased products, is recognized as one of the most effective projects on robotic automation of business processes implemented at the plant in recent years. The accumulated economic effect of its work in 2024-2025 amounted to 4.57 million rubles.
The main purpose of the RPA-328 is to prevent deadlines from being violated when purchasing complex equipment through MMK's electronic trading platform, as the coordination of technical specifications may be delayed due to the human factor.
The author of the solution was Alexander Dubrovsky, an economist of the first category of the Department of Analytics and Supply Development, who developed the project under the guidance of Dmitry Kamnev, a senior manager, and Evgeny Trakhtengerts, a leading specialist. The technical implementation was provided by the Next Robotics Technology Center (RPA integrator at MMK).
"The robot shows the number of positions for which no decision has been made, and indicates the time of approval. The report is sent to the marketer and his supervisor, and notifications generated based on the report are sent to the sighting responsibility center. This allows you to keep procurement procedures under control without manual data collection and significantly reduce the time spent interacting with the customer," said Alexander Dubrovsky.
Business Process Robotics (RPA) technology has been used at Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works since 2018. Today, the commercial directorate alone has more than 50 software robots that cover various areas of activity, increasing the speed and accuracy of work processes, as well as freeing employees from routine tasks. Large-scale work in terms of automation and digitalization strengthens MMK's position in the Russian market as a company implementing advanced solutions in production and management processes.
