At a meeting on October 19 of the Russian part of the working group on agribusiness of the BRICS Business Council, Dmitry Antonov, Senior Vice President of the GAP Resource, took the initiative to step up work on the admission of Russian poultry products to the market of the Republic of South Africa. This is stated in the company's message.
According to him, the opening of the South African market for Russian poultry meat is one of the key initiatives of the GAP Resource, presented as part of the development of agricultural cooperation between the BRICS countries. The issue is important both for domestic poultry producers and for the further expansion of Russia's agricultural exports to African markets.
Dmitry Antonov said that the agricultural holding is continuing negotiations with its South African partners. For example, during the company's recent business mission to South Africa, meetings with industry associations and potential importers were held from October 12 to 14. The expert proposed to consolidate the issue of the admission of Russian poultry meat to the South African market as one of the priorities of the BRICS Business Council's agribusiness working group in the near future. In addition, he pointed out the need to develop agrologistics as a permanent activity of the working group for the formation of sustainable and cost-effective agricultural supply chains between the BRICS countries.
The Resource Group of agricultural enterprises is one of the largest Russian producers of food products (the brands Blagoyar, Nasha Ptitochka, Dym Dymych, Vladimirsky Standard and others).
