The AK&M rating agency has presented the ninth social efficiency rating of the largest Russian companies.

The Social Responsibility Efficiency rating of the AK&M Rating Agency shows the balance between environmental pollution and the social impact of activities. On one side of the scale is the amount of pollution, on the other is the cost of taxes, salaries, charity and environmental protection.

The rating is ranked according to the social efficiency indicator, where the numerator is the total social effect in monetary terms, and the denominator is the total environmental impact in physical terms. After applying the equilibrium coefficients, it shows how much conditional money society receives from each corporation for one ton of conditional environmental pollution.

The 2026 rating was based on the reporting data for 2025. The source of information was sustainability reports, annual reports, financial statements under IFRS, and information obtained through questionnaires. The final list includes 67 largest corporations with the best practices of sustainable development. Due to serious industry differences, the rating is divided into the main areas of activity. A separate list of the largest holdings, whose revenue exceeds 200 billion rubles, is presented.

The social efficiency rating has been calculated annually since 2018. It was conceived in order to show the benefits that the largest Russian corporations bring to the country and society.
