Inflation in Russia from February 25 to March 2, 2026 was 0.08%, from the beginning of the month — 0.03%, from the beginning of the year — 2.22%. This was reported by Rosstat.
From February 25 to March 2, chicken eggs rose in price by 3.3%, granulated sugar, wheat flour and vodka - by 0.4%.
Prices for fruit and vegetable products decreased by 0.5% on average. Cucumbers fell by 7.1% and apples by 0.2%. Tomatoes rose in price by 3.8%, potatoes — by 1.1%.
Among the observed medicines, prices increased: levomekol — by 1%, activated carbon — by 0.5%. Pentalgin fell by 0.4%.
Among certain types of non—food essentials, prices for toilet soap, sanitary pads and matches increased by 0.5%. Prices for toilet paper fell by 0.4%.
TVs rose 0.9%, smartphones fell 0.6%.
Prices for automobile gasoline increased by 0.1%, while prices for diesel fuel remained virtually unchanged.
Trolleybus fares increased by 1.4%, tram fares — by 0.7%.
The average cost of vouchers to holiday homes and boarding houses increased by 1.4%.
Vacation trips to the Black Sea coast of Russia have become cheaper by 2.3%.
