The owner of the Imereti Hotel managed to return the asset. The newspaper Kommersant writes about this.

By the end of June 2026, the Imereti Hotel complex, which has been closed since 2023 after being withdrawn in the interests of the state, will resume full-fledged operation in Sochi. The previous owner, RogSibAl LLC, which is associated with billionaire Oleg Deripaska, managed to return the asset.

Imereti Riviera LLC belongs to Libra Holdings JSC and MKAO Spitzmar Limited. The latter, in turn, was among the shareholders of PJSC Trekhgornaya Manufaktur (owns a shopping and office complex of the same name in the center of Moscow). Real estate market participants associated this asset with Oleg Deripaska. In addition, Libra Holdings JSC owns a stake in the Glavstroy development company — until 2018, the developer was in O. Deripaska's asset portfolio.

RogSibAl lost the Imereti Hotel in 2022. The basis for the hotel complex's appeal to the state's revenue was the decision of the Khamovnicheskiy District Court of Moscow on the claim of the Deputy Prosecutor General in the interests of the Russian Federation, issued in September 2022. Also in early September, the Kuban Arbitration Court terminated the lease agreements for 14 plots with a total area of 5.2 hectares in a lawsuit filed by FT Sirius against Imereti Riviera LLC. In January 2023, the decision of the Arbitration Court of the Krasnodar Territory came into force, which satisfied the claim of the administration of FT Sirius to RogSibAl LLC and terminated the lease agreements for 30 plots with a total area of more than 13.8 hectares in the cargo area of the port of Sochi.

In February 2023, the hotel was closed. In April 2023, Sirius announced that the Imereti Hotel, which had been transferred to Sirius University of Science and Technology, would be used for the needs of the educational institution.

In July 2024, the case turned in favor of RogSibAl. Then the Khamovnichesky district Court of the capital restored ownership rights to a number of facilities in the Imereti complex with a total area of 54.6 thousand square meters. m with the deadline for the transfer of real estate in January 2025.
