In Domodedovo city district, near the village of Povadino, a modern dairy farm for 1,200 dairy cattle has been put into operation. The project was implemented by JSC Povadino Breeding Plant and is aimed at strengthening the raw material base of the dairy industry in the Moscow region. The capacity of the new complex is 14 thousand tons of milk per year, the total investment is about 900 million rubles, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow region reports.

"Today, large processing facilities have been established in the region — more than three million tons of milk per year. Therefore, our key task is to build up our own raw material base. Each new investment project in dairy farming is an additional volume of milk and a contribution to the sustainability of the entire industry," said Vitaly Mosin, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region clarifies that a production complex with an area of about 30 thousand square meters has been built as part of the project. It includes two cowsheds for 640 and 560 heads, a maternity ward, feed warehouses and other infrastructure facilities. A bioreactor plant for processing manure into animal litter has become a technological feature of the farm. The solution allows you to get rid of straw, sand and sawdust, increases the environmental safety of production and improves the conditions of the herd.

JSC Povadino Breeding Plant has been operating since 1963 and is part of the Coalco Group of companies, one of the largest milk producers in the Moscow Region. The launch of the new complex has become the next stage in the development of dairy farming in the region.
