Rosselkhoznadzor from March 1, 2023 introduced temporary restrictions on the supply of poultry products to the Russian Federation from the departments of Orne and Tarn and Garonne of France and the Cuxhaven region of Germany.
According to the French Veterinary Service and the International Epizootic Bureau, foci of highly pathogenic avian influenza have been registered on the territory of these municipalities.
The Veterinary Service of France previously sent information about the measures taken to eliminate the spread of the disease. Information from the competent authority of Germany has not yet been received by the service.
At the same time, the Russian agency requested cartographic information about the territories that were included in the monitoring and protection zone, the location of poultry farms; the results of the surveillance program and monitoring studies on avian influenza; the results of an epizootological survey.
