The company "VitaNord" in the status of a resident of the territory of advanced development (TOP) Yakutia has launched the production of the biologically active additive "Betukladin Forte". It is made from natural and environmentally friendly local raw materials – yagel and birch bark. The production capacity is about 1 million capsules per year. The project is being implemented under an agreement with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic.
"The decision to set up production was made in 2021 against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the founders of the company is Mikhail Shashurin, Candidate of Biological Sciences, author of the Betukladina formula, which was developed in March 2019. Betukladin Forte is a biologically active supplement for the prevention, relief and acceleration of the rehabilitation process for patients with viral diseases, including COVID-19. A patent has been obtained for the composition of the biopreparation. At the moment, we are setting up the process of mass sales of the additive, entering Russian marketplaces. The status of a TOP resident helped at the launch stage of the project, when we were looking for premises for production equipment. The provision of preferential rental of premises in one of the universal industrial buildings that are being created at the Yakutia TOP with the support of the KRDV has become a decisive factor for registering our company as a resident," said Ayar Maksimov, Director of the VitaNord company.
The biological product consists of active substances isolated from birch bark and lichens. According to Ayar Maksimov, the effectiveness of natural components against the new COVID-19 virus has been proven in clinical trials. Betukladin Forte was transferred by the Institute of Biological Problems of the Cryolithozone of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences to the Yakutsk Republican Clinical Hospital for medical workers who worked in the "red zone", as well as for people who suffered from COVID-19 with pneumonia during the rehabilitation stage. Among all the medical workers who took the drug for prevention, only one case of the disease was registered. Based on these results, the Ministry of Health of Yakutia has agreed to conduct expanded clinical trials of the biopreparation.
Earlier, Betukladin Forte showed results in the treatment of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis at the scientific and practical center in the city of Yakutsk. A positive effect was also achieved in the treatment of hepatitis B+D.
The biopreparation is produced under the trademark "Made in TOP SPV Far East" developed by KRDV. The presence of the sign helps the new manufacturer in marketing, exhibition and information promotion.
"The development of the medical industry, including the organization of the production of dietary supplements, is a strategically important area for strengthening the region's economy. A key feature of the pharmaceutical industries in the region may be the use of unique local raw materials. Yakutia's natural resources, combined with a wide range of government support tools, create unique conditions for business development within the healthy lifestyle industry. KRDV supports projects focusing on the creation of modern production facilities, cooperation with medical institutes and the search for innovative solutions," commented Dmitry Borisov, Director of KRDV Yakutia.
According to the KRDV, 56 projects with investments of about 338 billion rubles are being implemented in the Yakutia TOP, and about 2.7 thousand jobs are being created. The business has actually invested 16.5 billion rubles and created more than 900 jobs. 22 projects in various industries have been put into operation.
TOP residents have access to insurance premiums reduced by up to 7.6% for 10 years, reduced taxes on property and profits, the opportunity to receive land and infrastructure support, promotion of products and services, legal protection and other state support tools.
