The IL company of the United Aircraft Corporation and the Government of the Voronezh Region have signed an agreement of intent, which provides for the construction of a new building of the center of specialization for the production of engine nacelles for PD-14 and PD-8 engines as part of the implementation of the MS-21 and SSJ-NEW programs. The agreement was signed by Daniil Brenerman, Managing Director of PJSC Il, and Alexander Gusev, Governor of the Voronezh Region. The ceremony was also attended by Stanislav Gretchenko, Director of the branch of PJSC "Il" – VASO.
It is assumed that the center will be built on the territory of the Maslovsky Industrial Park. It is planned to attract state support funds and extra-budgetary investments for the implementation of the investment project.
Under the terms of the agreement, the government of the Voronezh Region undertakes to build a new building on the territory of the special economic zone on a plot with a total area of over 67 thousand square meters for the organization of a center for the production of engine nacelles. UAC will purchase the necessary equipment for new production facilities, provide training and organization of production, and train the necessary number of new specialists.
Recall that the development of the industrial sector and, in particular, the creation of the production of engine nacelles was discussed at a recent meeting between the President of Russia and Governor Alexander Gusev. Today's signing of the agreement is a continuation of this conversation with the head of state.
"Due to the increase in production volumes, the development of a specialization center for the production of engine nacelles for domestic aircraft with Russian aircraft engines created on the basis of VASO is required. We have agreed with the Il company on the possibility of creating production units for the MC-21 and Superjet New aircraft. This project is important for the industrial development of the region and is a priority. A plot of land suitable for the technical characteristics of the project has already been selected," commented Alexander Gusev.
"We are facing an important task to expand the capacity and build a new center for the production of engine nacelles, taking into account the increase in the volume of production of Russian aircraft with domestic engines. Already, the production of engine nacelles for PD-14 has been established at VASO, production for PD-8 is underway," Daniil Brenerman said after signing the agreement. – The new production will be created on a modern technological basis. The best technologies for the manufacture of components for domestic aircraft from composite materials will be consolidated there, the technological process will be maximally unified using digital technologies for 3D modeling of processes."
According to the Governor of the region Alexander Gusev, the signed agreement testifies to the seriousness of intentions in the development of long-term and effective cooperation between the Voronezh Region and the United Aircraft Corporation in the interests of the Voronezh Aircraft Factory, the economy of the region and the aviation industry of Russia as a whole. The result of the launch of the new production should be the creation of more than 500 new jobs. It is planned that the new project will provide additional tax revenues to the consolidated budget of the region in the amount of at least 5.6 billion rubles for 15 years since the launch of the production complex. The completion date of the new building is 2026. The Voronezh Region will contribute to the provision of passenger air transportation with new Russian-made civil airliners.
Currently, the production of engine nacelles is located on the territory of the Voronezh aircraft factory (a branch of PJSC Il – VASO). In the future, taking into account production plans, a large-scale expansion of production in new areas is necessary. VASO has historically been a supplier of engine nacelles for civil and transport aircraft engines. It was here that, back in Soviet times, engine nacelles for Yak-42 and Tu-144 aircraft were produced.
