The dialogue with the neural network is now available on all pages on the Internet in Yandex Browser. The splitview mode divides the screen into two parts — an open page on the left and a chat with a neural network on the right. This allows you to work with any type of content — you do not need to switch between tabs and additionally explain the context. The neural network is able to create materials based on the content of an open page, such as posts for social networks, and even works with non-clickable texts that cannot be copied, such as examination tickets for traffic regulations.
To open the splitview, just click the "Ask Alice AI" button in the upper-right corner of the Browser. The user can ask Alice AI their questions or choose ready-made options that she herself will suggest based on the content of the web page.
Splitview allows you to save time on studying any content and working with it. For example, you can watch a video in Browser or work with a PDF file and immediately ask Alice AI questions about the content. A user can turn on a video review of several smartphones and ask the neural network to prepare a short post for a personal blog about which of these phones has a better camera. The neural network will analyze the video, compare the characteristics of the devices, make a conclusion about the cameras, and generate text in the desired format.
Alice AI in splitview is especially convenient for working with non-clickable content. For example, on the website for preparing for the Olympiad in mathematics, there are tasks whose text cannot be highlighted. A student can open a chat with a neural network in splitview mode and write: "Explain the topic in simple words" or "Remind me how to count the discriminant." Alice AI will analyze the condition and give a step-by-step explanation, and the user will not have to rewrite the text from the page. If necessary, the neural network comes up with similar tasks with different conditions in order to consolidate the course of the solution. You can also ask her to search for different explanations on the Internet.
Splitview is already available to a new audience of Yandex Browser, and soon the mode will be available to all users.
