Previously , the translation of broadcasts to Yandex Browser worked on some YouTube channels, now the technology is available on the entire video hosting. During the year, users watched more than 20 thousand hours of live video, and the developers improved the technology. They have improved the quality of translation and modified the infrastructure. Thanks to this, the bandwidth of video cards that process broadcasts on Yandex servers has doubled, and the number of streams that users can simultaneously watch with translation has increased by 100 times. The ability to cope with a high load made it possible to open a new Browser function for all YouTube channels.
Translation of broadcasts works in open beta testing mode. Any Yandex Browser user can evaluate it on a computer, smartphone and tablet. It is enough to open a live stream on YouTube in one of the supported languages — for example, for example, NASA Live — and click on the "Translate broadcast" button.
