In Russia, the volume of illegal tree felling has decreased by 7% since the beginning of this year. In the third quarter, 3.9 thousand cases of illegal tree felling were detected, compared to 4.6 thousand for the same period in 2025, according to the Rosleskhoz website.
Illegal logging decreased 17-fold in the Kamchatka Territory, 17-fold in the Pskov Region, 10-fold in the Bryansk Region, 4-fold in the Yaroslavl Region, and 2.5-fold in the Arkhangelsk Region.
In January-September, 1.6 thousand criminal cases were initiated, and fines of 6.1 million rubles were imposed.
