Chinese chip manufacturer ChangXin Memory Technologies Inc. (CXMT) has doubled revenue in 2025 to $8 billion amid a sharp rise in chip prices. This is reported in the ChangXin press release.

In the first half of 2026, CXMT plans to enter the Shanghai STAR Stock Exchange as part of an IPO in order to increase the company's value to 300 billion yuan ($42 billion). At the same time, 30 billion yuan of the total revenue will be used for investments in technology modernization, as well as research and development.

In 2026, CXMT intends to expand the scale of the Shanghai plant with the launch of production of memory chips for servers, personal computers and automotive components in 2027.

ChangXin, as well as competitors, including South Korea's SK Hynix Inc., seeks to increase profits by increasing prices for data storage chips, which are crucial for the development of AI and data centers. The global shortage of memory chips has led to revenue growth of 130% in 2025.

CXMT plays a key role in China's quest to get rid of dependence on American technology and create its own supply chain, competing with the United States in the field of AI and other areas, including Nvidia Corp. and Advanced Micro Devices Inc.

CXMT is developing high-bandwidth memory needed to build AI accelerators in a segment long dominated by SK Hynix, Samsung Electronics Co. and Micron Technology Inc.

ChangXin Memory Technologies Inc. (CXMT) is a Chinese company developing and manufacturing DRAM memory chips for data centers, computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, smart watches, servers, workstations, etc. The headquarters is located in Hefei (China).
