RG Gold, one of Kazakhstan's largest gold mining companies, is considering selling a minority stake to finance projects in Kazakhstan. This is reported by foreign media.

RG Gold has engaged consultants to assess investor interest in a deal in which the total value of the company could range from $1 billion to $2 billion.

Negotiations are at an early stage and do not guarantee a final agreement.

In 2024, gold prices rose sharply by 30% amid purchases from central banks, easing of US monetary policy and increased geopolitical risks. Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and UBS Group AG forecast further growth in gold prices.

RG Gold is developing the Novodniprovskoye and Raygorodok deposits in the Akmola region, which is one of the largest pure gold deposits in Kazakhstan with resources in the amount of 100 tons.

RG Gold is a Kazakhstani gold mining company, one of the three largest gold reserves in Kazakhstan. The main shareholder of the company with a 65% stake is the Kazakh investment company JSC Verny Capital, which invests in natural resources, telecommunications, consumer goods, etc. The remaining shares belong to the American investment company Resources Capital Funds in the mining sector.
