Kyrgyzstan and the Russian company Inter RAO are negotiating the construction of a 500 MW thermal power plant near the village of Chaldovar in the Chui region. This was reported by the Economist with reference to the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic Altynbek Rysbekov.
According to him, the discussions are at the initial stage. The Russian side, through Inter RAO Export, can act as a contractor and receive a share in the project.
