The Government of the Russian Federation has increased the tariff quota for the export of scrap and waste of ferrous metals outside the Eurasian Economic Union. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The quota will increase by 100 thousand tons to 650 thousand tons from 550 thousand tons. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will distribute an additional quota volume among participants in foreign trade activities. This decision will be valid until December 31, 2024.
As before, when exporting scrap and ferrous metal waste within the quota, the duty will be 5%, but not less than 15 euros per ton, in addition to this – 5%, but not less than 290 euros per ton.
